About Aaleyah

Experience: 8 yrs

I've been babysitting for over 8 years now, and I've worked with children ranging from infants to teenagers. I started babysitting for family friends and church families in Chicago for parents who need someone they can rely on! I take the role seriously and always aim to be someone parents feel fully comfortable leaving their kids with. I understand how important it is to follow instructions closely-whether it's managing food allergies, sticking to bedtime routines, or just creating a peaceful environment where kids feel safe and heard. At the same time, I'm someone who enjoys being present and engaged with kids. I love getting them off screens when possible, whether that means coloring, playing games, reading books, or just listening to stories they want to tell. Every child is different, and I try to meet them where they are. I'm also always happy to check in or provide updates while you're away.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I almost don't want to write this review because I'd rather keep Aaleyah to ourselves!!! She has been our nanny for the past 10 and a half months, caring for our three children (ages 1, 4, and 9), and I can honestly say she has exceeded every expectation we had when we hired her. We are incredibly sad to see her leave Philadelphia, but excited for her as she heads to New York to pursue bigger opportunities. The first thing any parent wants to know is whether they can trust someone with their children. With Aaleyah, the answer was yes from the very beginning. She is dependable and has excellent judgment. During the school year, she picked our children up from school every afternoon and walked them home. In all the time she worked for us, she was never late. Not once. Our kids absolutely adore her. She has a way of talking to children that makes them feel heard and respected. She is patient when they're frustrated, encouraging when they're struggling, and genuinely interested in what they have to say. She remembers the little details about their lives, their friends, their interests, and the things they are excited about. One thing that was a lifesaver is that Aaleyah helped with homework throughout the school year and was wonderful about keeping everyone focused and on task. She knew when to push them to finish an assignment and when they needed a short break before trying again. It was so reassuring to know that homework was getting done correctly and that someone was there to answer questions until we got home. She was also fantastic about getting them out of the house. She regularly took them to the park, on walks, and on little outings around the neighborhood. This was particularly amazing when my husband and I just needed a little break from the kids. Beyond the typical nannying responsibilities, Aaleyah was incredibly helpful around the house. She cleaned up after activities and helped keep the house organized after snacks and meals. She always left things better than she found them which just helped everything run so smoothly. We also have an abnormally large dog, and she loved him from day one. What impressed me most though was her maturity and judgment. She asked questions when she needed clarification, communicated well, and kept us informed about anything important but in a way that didn’t require constant direction. We trusted her to make decisions and handle situations as they came up and she consistently did. The peace of mind we had when she was at home with the kids is priceless. If Aaleyah were staying in Philadelphia, we would keep her without hesitation. Any family looking for a nanny would be incredibly fortunate to have her. She will be deeply missed by both our children and our family as a whole. New York is lucky to have her :(.
