Abby was a phenomenal nanny to our 22-month-old son. We worked with her for six weeks between our move to Raleigh from out of state and when our son was able to start daycare, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her. Abby was an immediate calming presence during a stressful relocation, and our son took to her instantly. Every morning, he would excitedly yell, “Miss Abby!” as soon as he saw her walking up to the door. Highly creative and exceptionally resourceful, Abby was constantly inventing new games, activities, and ways to keep him engaged—even during our first few weeks when we were living in a nearly empty house surrounded by moving boxes. Beyond how wonderful she was with our son, Abby was dependable, consistently punctual, and a clear and thoughtful communicator. We always felt completely comfortable knowing he was in her care. Although we had always planned for this to be a short-term role, saying goodbye to Abby was much harder than we expected. She became such a special part of our son’s routine in a very short amount of time, and we would gladly work with her again. We can’t recommend her highly enough to any family looking for a kind, creative, and reliable nanny.
