About Adam

I was a Montessori teacher for 17 years and currently work at a local museum. I love history and helping people. Much of my spare time has been dedicated to shuttling my daughter to various activities, but now that she is of driving age and I am working only part-time I have extra time during the week to be useful. I am practical, polite, and interested in a variety of topics. While on the reserved side, I enjoy conversation and learning about others. In my spare time I enjoy playing oboe, hiking, and have a passion for Mesoamerican archaeology. I grew up in the DC/Metro area and have spent many hours on local roads and consider myself well-acquainted with the area. During the last two years of my elderly mother-in-law's life, I assisted her by housekeeping and doctor's appointments, as well as keeping her company, and am hoping to provide similar services to others in need.
