Hello, I am a certified CNA. I'm employed at Sholom Home in St. Louis Park working in Assistant Living. My title at the my job is a Homecare Aide. I attend to 20 seniors for 8 hours everyday. I am responsible for handing out medication, eye drops, shower assistance, escort, medication reminders and also pm cares which includes bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation assistance. Monitoring changes in clients health when following the care plan, the supervising nurse will want to know if there are any changes in health that are concerning and that may need medical attention. Transferring the client which refers to transferring the client from chairs, from the toilet, from bed. I will be attending Ramsey Community College to become a RN. I am looking to just provide help with one or two people at a time. Thank you for your time.
