About Alaire

Hi! My name is Alaire. I'm a white, trans-masculine preschool teacher, passionate about creating the world I want to live in by loving on and thoughtfully engaging with children. I have over 10 years of childcare experience. I've been a babysitter, nanny, family member, school program coordinator for a non-profit violence prevention agency, and, more recently, the waddler teacher at a high end preschool. I've received a lot of training on first aid, trauma-informed care, social emotional learning, early childhood education and conflict resolution/transformation. I'm great at soothing, sensory exploration and play, changing diapers quickly, building gross and fine motor skills, understanding non-verbal and semi-verbal communication, establishing and maintaining clear boundaries, teaching bodily autonomy/consent, and supporting language development. I work to create a fun environment where kids of all ages feel safe to explore who they are, how they feel and their world!
