About Alexandra

As a current Special Education Teacher, I consistently work one-on-one with my students to increase any weak skills they possess. I began private tutoring when I was in college for two different families. For one family, I met on a weekly basis for one hour to tutor their daughter in reading, writing, phonics, high frequency words, mathematical materials, and speech language skills. I tutored this child for 3 years. My second family I tutored for was a family that I babysat their two daughters, and we arranged that I would tutor their 7-year-old daughter in reading and writing once a week for an additional fee. In college, I also volunteered to tutor after school Hispanic students two days a week for two semesters. I have a great deal of experience within teaching and working with students with disabilities. I make sure to create a respectful, aesthetic, and open-minded environment when tutoring, as I know every child learns at their own pace.
