Worked at an elementary school with the 3rd grade classes; helped with math, reading, writing, science, and social studies. I worked with the children who hadn't finished their work and needed extra help. We did group sessions, as well as individual time. For three years while in college, I worked as an after-school caregiver. The child is dyslexic, so everyday, I helped with homework. I made the child read to me for at least 15-20 minutes every day, and helped him sound words out as well as spelling. I had him read what he could, and I would help him when he couldn't quite get it.
