I'm a fulltime Direct Support Professional for developmentally disabled adults, so I am CPR and first aid certified, I am certified to drive large transportation vans, I am med certified(I am allowed to pass meds to individuals I work with and am regularly observed by an RN), and I am food consistency certified(I am trained to prepare foods based on different people's chewing and swallowing capabilities. I am also trained to recognize the signs of choking.) All the certs are through my company, however, they are strictly monitored, regulated, and kept up to date.
