About Alex

Alex became Dad's caregiver after a series of others from a highly-rated list provided by the long-term insurance company. We were already more than frustrated with the lack of patient care we'd already witnessed. Dad had dementia as well as a history of serious injuries from Vietnam. His dementia caused him not to accept non-family members coming into our home. Alex took time to engage with dad and learn about the man dad had been before he had dementia. He engaged with Dad asking questions to sincerely learn about his patient and how he could best provide the care dad needed. He respected his human dignity. He connected with our family as well, always searching for one more piece of the complex puzzle to understand and care for and ultimately provide comfort for someone who was fighting a final battle that would ultimately take him home to a paradise where he now a rest peacefully. I can't tell you how glad we were to have been fortunate enough to have Alex with us for the last 9 or 10 months. He helped us in so many ways.
