About Alexis

Hi folks, It's been a while since I've been in the babysitting game, but I've been in youth development for the past 10 years now. Currently, I work at a mentorship nonprofit, where I mentor K-5 students and work with their families, schools, and communities. I recently (3 years) moved to Tacoma for the role, and it's been a ride ever since. I paused nannying and babysitting when we moved up north, but I consistently practiced caretaking back home. I have worked with newborns through high school, with a bulk of my experience being ages 3-12. I am CPR and AED certified, including youth and infant first aid. I am also certified by MHA in Youth Mental Health First Aid. As far as educational background, I have my BA in Child Development with a minors in Counseling. As I've found my footing in Tacoma and my new role, I am looking to step back into childcare part time. I have always enjoyed working with families, and I look forward to learning about yours!
