As the oldest of five and now a mother myself, I have been drawn to nurturing and shaping the minds of our tiniest community. With extensive experience as a professional nanny and in both Traditional and Montessori classrooms, I bring a well-rounded approach to early childhood care and education. I strive to create a loving environment where infants and young children feel secure, valued, and excited to learn. Alexis is a dream come true. She is incredibly competent, reliable, and an all around delightful person. I hired Alexis to care for my infant twins and I am so grateful for the care (and love!) they receive from her. Without my prompting, Alexis plans developmentally appropriate activities for my boys, brings new books weekly from the library to read to them, engages them in a variety of sensory play, sings to them, takes them outdoors for walks, picnics, and enjoying the swingset. Somehow in the middle of that she finds the time to send me professional quality photos of my kids throughout the day and keep up with baby related chores like bottle washing, laundry, etc. I have consistently been impressed by Alexis and have come to rely on her not only as an exceptional caregiver, but also as somewhat of a parenting consultant as I navigate first-time parent anxieties such as supportive sleep routines, starting solids, and how to maintain my own sanity!
