About Alexis

Hi my name is Alexis ! I'm a senior in college studying Health Sciences, and I plan to attend graduate school for Occupational Therapy to work with children with disabilities. I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages and abilities, including serving as a director at a summer camp for children with special needs for 3 years now. I also have experience working at a pool and am water safety trained as well as CPR certified. I'm comfortable supporting children with a wide range of behaviors and high-support needs. In my free time I am currently volunteering full-time with Retrieving Freedom, where I'm training a future service dog that will be placed with either a disabled veteran or a child with autism. This experience has strengthened my patience, consistency, and problem-solving skills. I'm a dependable, energetic, and compassionate person who loves creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for every child.
