About Alexis

Hello! My name is Alexis and I am a recent graduate from the University of Michigan! I majored in environmental studies and minored in English, so being outside and reading are some of my favorite activities. While at the University I worked as a peer advisor for the Program in the Environment, where I worked closely with students to advise them on classes, jobs, etc. In this role I served first and foremost as a mentor, and I learned valuable interpersonal skills including communication and leadership, which I believe translate well when working with children. My experience working with younger children has been as a date night sitter for ages 6 months - 12 years. I also have experience working with younger students in grades K-3 to assist with homework and helping ensure projects/activities for class were completed. I'm definitely a laid back person who loves to be creative and adventurous. My hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, yoga, reading, writing, and photography.
