About Alicia

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Alicia as our nanny for more than three years, caring for our son from ages 2–5 and our daughter from ages 5–8. She has truly become part of our family, and we will all miss her enormously. She is incredibly loving, kind, patient, and caring with our children. She played with them, read with them, did crafts and activities, and somehow managed to take them to just about every kid-friendly place in Delaware! She was also there for all the everyday milestones and routines, including helping us through potty training, and was always wonderfully comforting and caring whenever one of the children was upset or sick. One of the things we valued most was how completely we could trust her. She independently drove the children to activities, outings, and appointments, and even took them to medical appointments when we weren't able to. I never had to worry when the children were with her. She is also incredibly calm. She handled tantrums and sibling disagreements patiently and thoughtfully, and was always flexible when plans unexpectedly changed, which, with two young children, happened often! Beyond caring for the kids, she made our whole family's life easier. She prepared healthy meals for the children, helped keep the house tidy and organized, especially the toys, and was wonderfully proactive. She kept track of the children's clothes, noticed when they had outgrown things, helped sort through clothes and toys, and let us know when they needed something. She didn't need to be given a list of every little thing to do, she noticed what needed doing and took care of it. She is extremely dependable, always on time, flexible, and completely trustworthy. Most importantly, she genuinely loves and cares about our children. They became very attached to her over the years and will miss seeing her every day tremendously, as will we. The only reason she is leaving us as a full-time nanny is that our youngest is starting school and we no longer need a full-time nanny. If our circumstances were different, we would absolutely keep her. I would hire her again without hesitation and recommend her 100% to any family looking for someone loving, dependable, and trustworthy to care for their children.
