About Alicia

I am a curious, enthusiastic human from the Pacific Northwest-- an avid fan of the outdoors, humor & have worked in educational arts and literacy since 2005. I'd describe my personality as humorous, curious & empathetic. I like working with kids because I value playfulness and young people have deep wisdom in this way. I'm looking for a job that allows me to use my skills in connecting with people & have meaningful work. I started working with kids as a teenager, in college I worked in developmental psych & with kids on the Autism spectrum. I've worked in youth literacy programs for the past 15 years. In my spare time I like to being in the mountains, my Icelandic Book Club & going to the Puget Sound Goat Rescue. One thing you should know about me is I take care very seriously, while also value bringing a spirit of playfulness. I am gentle and follow kids' leads and always appreciate parental insights. My skills include patience, playfulness and creativity.
