About Alicia

K-3 TUTOR FOR READING/PHONICS/WRITING/MATH AVAILABLE Hello, families! My name is Alicia and I am a first grade teacher in Lexington. I am currently tutoring a few students virtually and I am looking for a few more virtual or face-to-face students (we can discuss if it would be safe). In order to solidify foundational literacy skills, I pull from a variety of programs such as Fundations, LiPS (Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing), Visualizing and Verbalizing, Rave-O, and more. The lessons are tailored to target the particular needs of your child, so I will adjust the programs used accordingly. For math, I like to work on building number sense, flexibility, and deepening conceptual understanding of WHY certain computations work the way they do. I will work to help your child become a more well-rounded mathematician and help to build a love of math that they can hold on to as the level of difficulty increases throughout their schooling.
