About Alicia

As a young woman, I used to care for children of various family members.. Then I raised my own two daughters and they are now well adjusted and highly productive young adults. I have also been a Spanish Teacher in public and private schools and worked for a pre school child care program in Pennsylvania for a year. My personal philosophy about child rearing is simple THOSE CARING FOR THEM MUST CREATE A STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT. This translates into all sorts of activities, anything from music-based and role-play enrichment to quiet time- reading and singing :o) Socialization is also key, including bringing "special friends" to visit at home and play dates. Physical based activities that involves grown-ups MUST also be considered ! Enjoying what we DO is essential to satisfaction and thus, success :o)
