She regularly facilitated enriching activities like group baking, developmentally appropriate arts and crafts, bug hunts in the yard, and outings to the park, pool, zoo, aquarium, library, and local museums. She was always prepared for these outings, knowing exactly what to pack to set the day up for success. What stood out most, though, was her patience and calm demeanor — qualities that are essential when working with young children, but also critical for creating an environment where they can genuinely thrive and grow. She communicated openly with us, welcomed feedback with a great attitude, and was always easy to talk to and flexible when our needs shifted. Above and Beyond Alicya was consistently willing to pitch in with household tasks like light grocery shopping, light cleaning, and laundry. She also took real initiative with our working-line German Shepherd, regularly doing scent work and obedience training with him in addition to simply playing — something that made a real difference in his training and enrichment. The only reason our time working together came to an end was that Alicya relocated to be closer to her family, making the commute no longer feasible. It was a loss for our family, and we know she will be an incredible asset to whichever family is lucky enough to have her next. We give Alicya our highest, most enthusiastic recommendation.
