About Ali

I am an experienced and successfull classroom math teacher with years of one on one tutoring experience. I have taught both middle and high school students in a variety of math topics in both Massachusetts and Colorado. My tutoring experience began while an undergraduate in Mathematics at Merrimack College in Andover, MA. I worked in a drop in math center for my entire career there and went through various tutoring certifications. A few years later, I went back to Merrimack and obtained a Masters in Education, Curriculum and Instructional Planning. I am knowledgeable in various teaching methods and I know how to make math easier to understand. My favorite compliment to recieve from my math students is that I helped make topics understandable for them and helped changed their mind on liking the subject. I have a calm and patient demeanor and I am passionate about making math accessible for all learners. In my first year teaching in Colorado, I was voted Teacher of the year.
