I love kids and have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 16 years old. In addition, I have nannied for four different families for at least a semester at a time over the last four years. One family had twin girls. When I began keeping them, they were 4 months old, and I kept them until they were 8 months old, from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. three days a week. Their parents were both nurses and were very organized. I was required to keep detailed logs of our days, noting nap times, feeding times, number of diapers, any problems seen, and any fun things the girls learned or did that day. For one summer, I kept two boys who were 2 and 3 years old, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. , two days a week. I made them breakfast and lunch every day. We played outside a lot, read a lot of books, and used our (their :) imaginations! I loved getting involved and facilitating fun games and activities, encouraging their imaginations. Last year, I started keeping a sweet baby girl two mornings a week from when she was 5 weeks old until she was 5 months old. I learned a lot about caring for newborns and really gained a lot of confidence being able to read them and what they need. For a year, I nannied for a family of three kids- a 1st-grader, 6th-grader, and 8th-grader. I picked them up from school each day, took them home, oversaw homework assignments and anything their mother needed them to do for the day until she got home from work. In addition, I worked at my church nursery and preschool for 2 services every Sunday for a year. I have diapered, fed, hugged, comforted, and played with my fair share of little ones! :) I also have a precious little 9-month-old son! Being a mother is definitely the ultimate childcare experience, and I am loving every minute of it. It is important for me to note that I am looking for a family who is OK with me bringing him with me to keep their children. He is a very laid-back, go-with-the-flow fellow, and is great with other kids. I assure you that my experience keeping multiple children at a time means that I can confidently care for your child/children and him with no problem.
