About Allison

Allison was an intern under my direct supervision in the Education Department at the Marin Theatre Company. As an intern she took on an impressive amount of responsibilities and executed them with precision and professionalism. She not only planned the itinerary of three touring youth performances - including securing each performance site, communicating all plans with our youth performer's parents, and assisting with the transportation of both materials and performers - she assisted, then co-directed, and finally directed her own performance over the course of her internship. She also taught for our after-school program and was the musical director and a back-stage coordinator for our Winter Children's Musical. In instructing, managing, and just interacting with the youth in our various programs, Allison's style was always fun and familiar. She speaks to students as if they were colleagues and collaborators, never talking down to them. She can be very silly with a quick and infectious laugh, which endeared her to all ages she worked with. I highly recommend Allison as a caregiver.
