Before attending college in GA, I worked as a Direct Support Staff through Consumer Choice for two years working with a boy with Down Syndrome. I worked as a part-time nanny/sitter for a family with 2 girls ages 2 and 3. The girls were bilingual and so I spoke primarily English and occasionally Spanish with them. I volunteered at Down Syndrome Camp the past two summers. Other than that my experience with caring for children comes from church camps and mission trips. I also have 2 younger siblings and 9+ younger cousins.
