About Amalia

Hi! I'm Amalia, 20, turning 21 this October! I'm moving from Santa Barbara to San Diego and, while excited, I'm very sad to leave my families: a 7-month-old I've cared for since 3 months and 10 & 12-year-olds I've been with for over a year. I've loved growing close with both and hope to build that same relationship in San Diego! I'm on the older side of 10 siblings and grew up helping my Mama care for my younger siblings. My family also fosters, giving me experience with newborns-12, including special needs, health disabilities & behavioral issues. I'm a natural caregiver and love caring for kids! I've had multiple childcare jobs, including student aide in the Special Education Department at Peabody Elementary & La Colina Junior High in Santa Barbara, plus babysitting/nannying with great feedback. I'm CPR certified and passed required testing/screenings. I'm responsible, loving & patient, and can provide any references needed. I'm excited to find a wonderful family in San Diego!
