About Amanda

Caring for seniors has been meaningful to me for many years. I grew up with my grandmother, who had dementia, and in 2009 I began caring for an elderly couple. This was unpaid care that I chose because I genuinely wanted to help. I cared for the husband through cancer, providing bathing, changing, medication management, blended meals, and daily assistance. I later cared for his wife as her Alzheimer's progressed, helping with meals, personal care, laundry, cleaning, and errands. My father is now in the moderate stages of Alzheimer's and no longer recognizes me. I help keep him engaged with activities that exercise his mind. These experiences taught me patience, compassion, and understanding. I love helping seniors feel safe, respected, comfortable, and valued. I'm looking for a position where I can build trust with a family and provide dependable, heartfelt care. My strongest skills are dementia care, personal care, and companionship.
