About Amanda

I am a 1st grade teacher in the Austin area. I have been teaching kinder/1st for 10 years. I have 3 nieces, all of whom I have babysat/cared for since they were infants. I babysit for several of their friend's families as well, with children from 3 months-8 years old. I am energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, patient, and supportive. I have taught children with all different needs, either behavioral or academic. I believe in creating fun, hands-on, and engaging activities for children to do while on my care. This could be creating an art piece or even helping create a healthy snack/meal (my nieces LOVE to help me bake/cook). I also enjoy spending time outside of the home and would love to plan and take them to parks or learning centers/museums. I am able to do light house work, laundry, cooking, meal prepping, running errands, and any other tasks to help you and your family. I also tutor preK-2nd grade: reading, writing, math, science, and any other academic needs.
