Hi, I'm Amanda! I love caring for children (and pets). I took a babysitting training class at the American Red Cross in 2012 and have been babysitting/nannying off and on ever since. I'm currently taking online and evening classes at Stark State College working towards an Associates degree in social work. Throughout my journey working in childcare, I've gained a proven track record of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, while implementing age-appropriate activities and developing strong relationships with parents. I most closely align with the Montessori Method and the Reggio Emilia Pedagogy approaches to childcare. I enjoy reading, music, playing games, doing crafts, and going on outings to the park, library, etc. I have a huge passion for children and helping others. Amanda is wonderful! She was our nanny for a little over 3 years, until she and her family moved and the commute was a bit too far. However we are still in touch and she babysits for us on nights and weekends occasionally! She loves the kids, and has been great with them from age newborn through elementary school. She is supportive of our parenting style, focusing more on educational and enriching activities instead of screen time. She is also very punctual and reliable. We highly recommend her!
