About Amber

I'd describe my personality as good-humored, kind, and patient I like working with kids because I feel so fulfilled seeing them learn and grow, and I am so honored to play a positive role in their development. I started working with kids 10 years ago as a volunteer for a children's program. From there I moved to paid positions in babysitting, infant care, and preschool education. One thing you should know about me is I value healthy emotional expression. Providing a space where children can wear their big emotional heart on their sleeve is one of my top priorities. I believe in helping children control their bodies and words through emotional moments, however I prefer to emphasize that while we don't let out emotions control us, there is no need to push away our feelings. We instead can find a way to healthily express and communicate them. My skills include staying calm during children's emotional moments, one-on-one education, and having a good sense of humor through hard moments.
