About Amy

Hello! My name is Amy. I have been working in the education field for the last six years including positions such as reading specialist, kindergarten teacher, and online ESL teacher. Throughout my teaching experiences, I have learned the importance and the power of building a close relationship with all students, and allowing for individualized instruction and true differentiation to take place. I have had the pleasure of teaching many different grade levels, and working with a variety of students with special needs, students with gifted talents, and students with different cultural backgrounds. I have dealt with many extreme behavioral challenges which has taught me the importance of incorporating social skills, movement, and play into my lessons. I would love to continue using the skills that I have learned through my education and experiences to help struggling readers reach their full potential!
