About Amy

[Currently unavailable.] My work with children spans approximately 20 years. I have worked as a nanny, teacher's aide, tutor, director, and recreation leader. I have always been able to interact positively and connect with young people, keeping their emotional and physical safety at the forefront of my responsibility while also providing ample energy and silliness to have fun with them. I strongly believe in the empowerment of youth toward their developing individuality and sense of self and take my position as positive role model very seriously. I believe in imaginative play and making meaningful messes. I enjoy story time, arts & crafts, and outdoor day trips. I have experience with Baby Sign, Waldorf education, and the Nurtured Heart approach. I work throughout Seattle as a Teaching Artist, teaching Creative and Story Drama. I also work as a Child Guardian with professional theaters in the area.
