While I was a nanny, the grandmother moved in with the family. I cared for her for 2 years. She suffered from dementia. My responsibilities included waking her up in the morning, bathing her, dressing her, feeding her, taking her to appointments, and keeping her company during the day. I also volunteered for a hospice for 2 years. I would keep the patients company and feed them during mealtimes. I also had a 20 month position providing companion care for a woman in her 50s with Alzheimer's. I assisted with bathing her, dressing her, feeding her, giving medication, and transporting to The Summit. I also stayed with her overnight when the family was traveling out of town. I'm currently looking for a position starting this summer or fall. I can provided excellent references.

Amy helped care for my mother with dementia in our home for 2 years. She is one of the most patient individuals I have met. She provided the calming environment that my mother needed. She provided assistance with ambulation, feeding, bathing, and dressing. She also kept her busy with activities, exercise, and trips out of the house. She is reliable, reponsible, kind, calm, and competent. I never felt uncomfortable having her in my home or caring for my mom. She was a good-send for our family. I higly reommend in for a senior care position.
