About Andrea

Hello! My name is Andrea and I am looking for a great family who needs a tutor for their student(s). I taught social studies for 5 years and 2 years of ELA & social studies. In my years of teaching middle school, I have excelled at teaching reading comprehension, vocabulary, inferencing & writing. I have a MA in Ed Policy and a graduate certificate in ESL. I have a graduate level writing ability, and can edit and coach writing at all ages. I just left my teaching career where I helped students succeed at all ability levels. I have had high success rate of reading improvement for my former ELA students. I also tutored middle school students after school for the past two years. I also was a tutor my first year teaching for an upper elementary student. Even though I just left teaching in the classroom, I still want to make a positive academic impact upon kiddos. I can provide references from my past school if needed.
