About Andrea

Hello! Im Andrea and I'm an educator in Oakland with 13 years of teaching experience! I'm passionate about helping children feel confident, supported, and successful. I offer tutoring and/or after-school support with a patient, encouraging approach. Whether your child needs help with homework, wants extra support in a particular subject, or simply benefits from a structured and engaging after-school routine, I'm happy to help. I have extensive reading and math intervention training and experience to support students in their foundation reading and math skills. Just this past year I supported a child increase their reading skills by 5 levels in just 2. 5 months. Not to mention, I supported a 3rd grade student with low math confidence, frequently unable to complete math activities independently, become one of the highest performing in his class.
