About Angelica

Throughout my career, I have worked in various roles within the childcare and education sectors, gaining experience in healthcare and the military. I started as a part-time nanny in college, helping two children with homework and activities. Concurrently, I served as an afterschool educator. During summers, I was a camp counselor at a special needs school, providing one-on-one care for a joyful, nonverbal girl with a genetic disorder. I later worked as an infant teacher at a daycare, fostering early learning and development in a three-to-one ratio setting. My passion for special needs led me to become a behavior therapist for children with autism, improving language, communication, and social skills. In addition to childcare, I served in the National Army Guard for eight years, working as a medic and in intelligence. I am a licensed EMT and certified in CPR/First Aid. My long-term goal is to open a daycare for both neurotypical and special needs children.
