About Anika

My name is Anika! I am a high energy, highly empathetic au pair/nanny with experience working with children of all ages, including with special needs! I love teaching kids about art, the outdoors, and much more! I am also a classically trained pianist of 10+ years and a black belt in karate, with experience teaching both respectively. I like working with kids because aside from my larger career aspirations (becoming a pediatric occupational therapist) , I enjoy being around children! Children have the capability to teach adults a lot about the world as they see it , and as the early formative years are a crucial time in a child's development, I enjoy spending my time making those experiences more meaningful for children in my care. I have a plethora of varied sources of childcare experience , from working as a baby sitter for 10+ years, then with school aged children as a health educator, additionally with children in pediatric stabilization units in hospitals for 2+ years, etc.
