About Anique

I have always been interested in a career in the health field especially since various close family members have been stricken with heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic illnesses. When I was only 13 years old, a devastating, life-changing event occurred in my family that significantly impacted my decision to pursue a nursing career. Once I earn my BSN, I intend to continue my work in a healthcare facility, and further my education as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. With this degree, I can make an even bigger contribution to improve the healthcare of everyone whom I have the privilege to serve. In addition to being a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross, I volunteered as a student athletic trainer at the gym on campus, caring for the injured members of our basketball and football teams. I also volunteered as an assistant at Carrollton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. While working at this facility, I was able to experience firsthand, the major role of registered nurses in the long term care industry. Additionally, I participated in activities with diabetic and cardiac patients who required 24-hour care.
