I am a disillusioned public school teacher who wants to meet the needs of kids, but the state funding just doesn't cut it :) I have experience as a babysitter, mother's helper, an Au Pair, and have led my own classroom for 11 years. I am AMS Montessori certified and have a BA of Child Development and Family Studies from UNC Chapel Hill. I am also conversationally fluent in Spanish, beginner French, and know some ASL. As a public school teacher, I also have had extensive experience with children with disabilities and can offer guidance with navigating the IEP/IFSP processes. While I have experience with children of all ages, my expertise is in early childhood and I have a soft spot for infants and toddlers. I am currently open for after school and weekend sitting, with increased availability in the summer.
