About Annika

My experience with children: In high school, I was a frequent babysitter for many kids in my neighborhood. I would take them to the pool, movies, do arts and crafts projects, and help them with their chores. After high school, I took a gap year and studied in Spain and Southeast Asia. In Spain, I was an assistant English teacher for middle school students. I was in charge of helping to organize lesson plans as well as helping students with proper grammar and pronunciation of English words. In college, I was a communications/marketing intern with Girls on the Run - Twin Cities. This is a non-profit organization whose main goal is to promote girls/womens' empowerment through teaching life skills and the benefits of physical exercise. During this internship, I was a head coach for a school and was in charge of leading 20 3rd grade girls as well as 4 adults through teaching materials meant to help young girls.
