About April

Hi, my name is April and I currently work at Madison Christian children's center with preschool and school age kids( K-4)On Sundays I run the infant room here at the church. A little bit about me is that prior to the preschool, I worked at Desert View Elementary School. I worked with preschoolers with autism for 4 years at the school and then I switched to an English language testing specialist (K-6) while part time in the front office as an office tech. I Ended up getting my Emergency Substitute Certificate so I had a blast subbing in all different grades at the school. I do have lots of experience with children as young as 5 months old from also working at a daycare during the summers. I love working with kids and I'm currently taking online courses to become a sub certified teacher! I am CPR certified and I have my fingerprint clearance card. I have a ton of experience not only in active play with children but knowing learning techniques that will benefit child development.
