Hello, I have experience as a Direct Support Professional: I provided direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community skills development and rehabilitative skills training at a local activity center and group home. Assisted and coached individuals in community integration and social behaviors. Assisted individuals with personal hygiene and other skills including bathing, bathroom skills, and handling soiled clothing and undergarments. Supported and coached individual use of personal assistive devices and apparatus. Monitored the use of materials, equipment, and supplies utilized by individuals. Coordinated skill training needs with other habilitation staff. Prepared progress notes on individuals in compliance with requirements. Strong Clinical training and Documentation training, handled with Care, Was CPR certified, and Was FIRST AID certified. Medication management training, Vehicle training VCU Autism Spectrum Course completed.
