Held phone interview; discussion went fine and there was a nominally agreed schedule/experience 'fit'. She agreed to show up for face-to-face and -- if we all agreed after that-- to actually start first day's work assignment the next day. She texted a request at the agreed arrival time to delay 1 hour, then failed to show-up at that time. She then texted she was having difficulty finding the location (I'd provided driving instructions and also our address for GPS). However -- she did not want to text me where she was or to talk real-time or receive my redirecting instructions; she texted that she "has difficulty following instructions". She then texted she was returning home! She failed to respond to follow-up calls/emails following the no-show to explain what happened or to reschedule. This set us back in looking for an aide. Changing a commitment is fine. Not showing interest in resolving confusion re directions and then not responding to reschedule isn't professional.
