My name is Ashley and I am a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College. I have a degree in Child Development and Education with certification in Elementary Pk-4 and Special Education Pk-8. I also have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. In the past, I have been able to work with a wide variety of students and grade levels. I have worked with general education students and ELL students (Grades: 1-3), gifted students, students with autism, students requiring life skills support, students with down syndrome, students with an emotional disturbance, and students with visual impairments. Through Care. com, I most recently worked with a 3rd grade boy in Wayne with reading and math. I have also worked with two ESL students from the Upper Moreland SD on reading, writing, and math. Professionally, I am currently working for the Spring-Ford Area SD. I strongly believe I have the educational background and classroom experience to assist you and your child.

I have known Ashley since Fall 2011. I was one of her professors at College . Ashley has long-term plans to be an elementary school teacher, and will make a wonderful teacher. In class, Ashley was an extremely diligent worker, and most importantly, learned to adjust well on the fly as circumstances changed. I had the pleasure of observing Ashley teach in an elementary school classroom and she was wonderfully positive and encouraging with her students. I told Ashley that I could only hope that my own 5-year-old would be lucky enough to have someone like her as a teacher. Ashley has a wonderful sense of humor, a cheerful demeanor, confidence in her abilities, and uses good techniques of positive reinforcement to encourage growth and learning. I highly recommend Ashley.
