About Ashley

I absolutely love children. I have been taking care of children since the age of 12. I was one of the main caretakers of my premature baby brother when I was 12 and continue to take care of him to this day. I have been babysitting others children since I was 15. The families I have babysat , or babysit for range from nine months to 13 years old, sometimes just one child other times as many as seven. I have a large family so I am very used to having to interact with many children at one time, keeping and focusing their attention on the appropriate things they should, calming them down, and finding fun and creative things for us to do. I love reading to, or with, the children, playing games or make believe, singing and dancing, and just being able to have an enjoyable time with these tiny people. At the same time however, I believe in setting rules and having respect for me and for the child/children. I try to always teach a learning lesson for whoever I am watching.
