About Ashley

Caring for older adults has been a passion of mine since childhood. My mom worked in a nursing home, and I grew up spending time there. Those experiences sparked my love for older adults. After high school, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Southern Maine, with a focus on geriatrics. My dream was to become a gerontologist, but my career took me in a different direction. For more than 21 years, I have worked in healthcare, primarily in dentistry. Caring for patients taught me patience, compassion, communication, dignity, and the importance of seeing the person--not just the patient. I also have experience with older adults in senior living. My passion is helping older adults, especially those living with dementia. I believe companionship, conversation, and genuine connection can make a difference. I may not have become the gerontologist I dreamed of, but caring for your loved one may be a way to fulfill that dream.
