Hi Families! my name is Ashlynn and I'm a dedicate and creative 18-year-old! I started out in childcare very young, doing babysitting gigs from time to time, I slowly transitioned in doing it full time, and I love it so much! My favorite age group are toddlers, but I have experience with all ages. I'm looking for a full time position, with a minimum of a one-year commitment, and my rates start at $20/hour for one child. I have worked for 2 families, one for one year, and the other for 3 years. I'm CPR and Fist Aid certified, as well as having my own car. My focus is on giving your child a safe, routine-focused, and creative space to learn and grow into an amazing person. I love doing seasonal crafts, baking, pretend play, outdoor play, and special outtings. I'm firm but kind, and will work with you on any challenges your child may come to. In my personal time I love to bake, play video games, and spend quality time with my family and loved ones. I look forward to meeting you!
Ashlynn is dependable and is passionate about working with children. Based on our experience, she is better suited for caring for older children who can clearly communicate their wants/needs (e.g., hunger, bathroom, tired, sick, etc.) and engage in more independent and interactive play. As an infant nanny, she required frequent coaching, reminders, ongoing supervision, and detailed written instructions regarding infant routines, developmental engagement, hygiene, and safety practices. She was unable to consistently recognize, respond to, and differentiate between common infant cues such as hunger, fatigue, soiled diapers, and over/under stimulation without direction, even after several weeks. We also had ongoing concerns regarding cleanliness and adherence to infant care guidelines. Despite repeated feedback, written instructions, and posted CDC guidelines for the safe storage and use of infant formula and human milk, these practices were not consistently followed. Families looking for occasional childcare or care for older children may find her to be a good fit. Based on our experience, I would not recommend her for an independent infant nanny position.
