I am a senior at UNC studying English, Environmental Science, and Marine Science. I work in outdoor education as a backpacking, rock climbing, and kayaking instructor for UNC students and faculty during the school year! I love teaching and spending time outside. About my teaching and caregiving experience: - In 2018 I volunteered at Rift Valley Children's Village in Tanzania. I provided live in care for the children at the orphanage while also creating lesson plans and teaching English classes for children ages 3-10. - I have worked as a swim instructor and swim coach at the YMCA, for families, and at private swim clubs for over 6 years. I have taught infants, children, teenagers, and adults how to swim and navigate the water safely. - In 2021 I worked as an academic tutor for an SAT test prep company in Philly. There I coached high school students on how to improve their writing and study skills. I can provide tutoring in English, Calc, Chemistry, Biology, and more!

Avalon was great with our kids. On time, friendly, immediately comfortable, communicated well, kept them on their routines and kids had a very fun time playing! Would absolutely have Avalon back again.
