Hi! I'm Ava and I'm an upcoming freshman at SUNY Oswego! I will be attending for my BA in Psychology, my MA in Computer/Human Interaction, and my minor in Human Development with a micro credential in Child Advocacy Studies. I have a passion for child care and plan to become a child life specialist when I graduate! I love playing outside, coming up with educational, or just plain fun, games and making sure I'm not just a body in the room watching a child but rather a friend and companion! In my spare time, I like to work on my water color, longboard/skateboard, play guitar, make fun trinkets out of clay, and garden. One thing you should know about me is I have a large family, 6 siblings, 4 girls and 2 boys. I am the second oldest and one of my brothers is on the autism spectrum while one of my sisters is on the ADHD spectrum.

Ava has been babysitting our two boys for the past four years, and we honestly couldn't ask for anyone better. Our boys are now 3 and 4 years old, and one of them is on the autism spectrum. Ava has always been incredibly patient, caring, and attentive to both of their individual needs. What we love most about Ava is that she's truly engaged with the kids. She isn't the type of babysitter who sits on the couch while the kids entertain themselves. She's down on the floor playing games, doing activities, reading books, and finding fun ways to keep them busy and learning. Her background in child development both in high school and now in college really comes through in the way she interacts with children. The boys absolutely love when Ava comes over! She is CPR certified, peace of mind is invaluable and as parents, there's no better feeling than knowing your kids are happy, safe, and genuinely cared for while you're away. She's also incredibly responsible and often helps clean up toys and activities before she leaves, which is always appreciated.
