About Ava

Hi, I am Ava! I am 22 years old. I am the oldest of 6 siblings ranging from the ages of 20 to 3 years old. I have ample experience caring for newborns and toddlers and experience providing care for babies and toddlers with special needs (my youngest brother is vision impaired, epileptic, and has neurological issues that require extensive therapy (Cerebral Palsy) and my other two brothers are very speech delayed and have autism). I am completely comfortable caring for multiple children ranging in ages. I have 2 years of professional nannying experience, and also 2 years of professional experience with special needs children (ADHD, cerebral palsy, nonverbal). I have communicated to nonverbal children through adaptive signing (my experience is limited, but I know the basics), and AAC (GoTalk NOW and Proloquo2Go). I have also led educational camps for children ages 2-14, and I tutored Latin for two years. I am happy to do light housework, help with school, and cook meals.
