About Avery

I'd describe myself as kind, funny, and understanding. I have a deep passion for working with kids because they represent our future, and I love being part of their growth journey. It's incredibly rewarding to watch them achieve new milestones, especially when they overcome challenges they didn't think they could. I'm seeking a role where I can make a meaningful impact on a child's life and support parents who need it. My experience began working in after-school programs for families who couldn't afford child care. I later became a 1-on-1 aide for children with special needs, and for the past three years, I've had the privilege of helping to raise my first nephew. In my free time, I enjoy writing and producing music, spending quality time with my wife, painting, traveling, and playing with our dogs. I believe in empowering children to grow by teaching them, rather than doing everything for them. My strengths include patience, creativity, and resourcefulness.
