About Barbel

After retiring as supervisor of a program for adults with disabilities, I found myself missing the daily challenges of running a program and caring for others. I became a caregiver for a man with dementia and a woman on hospice for over a year. I was a companion who made sure the needs and happiness of the ones I served came first. Making meals, doing light housekeeping, shopping, driving to doctor's appts. providing assistance in writing a biography and managing paperwork and even computer issues, were only a few of the things I was tasked with. I have many skills and if I haven't done something before, you can be sure that I will do my best to figure it out. I am highly flexible, energetic and very compassionate. I am easy to get along with and love to laugh. Whatever your need, you won't be disappointed if you take a chance on me.
