About Beth

I'm a mom to 2 girls ages 7 and 10. I've been homeschooling my children since 2019, but they both will be attending public school fall 2026 so I am looking for paid work. I have my BA in English from GC, and prior to homeschooling, I was a social worker for 15 years working with children and adults with disabilities. I worked my way through college tutoring elementary students in reading, and was a preschool teaching assistant. Currently, I volunteer with the children's programming at my church. I value lots of outdoor time, art, and free play. I raise my own kids with a respectful parenting approach with collaborative problem solving rather than punishment, and lots of discussions on empathy and healthy expression of emotions.
